Festoni
A wonderful flame stitch design in three stunning colourways, woven in a luxurious blend of cotton and viscose.
FESTONI PGT 2008
Festoni is a flame stitch, also known as Florentine stitch or Bargello after the fabric on four 17th century chairs in the Bargello Museum in Florence. But whatever you call this wonderful graphic design, it is characterised by long vertical stitches in bold colours zigzagging horizontally across the fabric into peaks and valleys, often in a large scale.
Our Festoni (swag in Italian) is woven in a luxurious blend of cotton and viscose in three stunning colourways at a centuries-old mill in southern Italy, which has the only loom in Europe on which a true flame stitch can be woven. With a soft and thick yet pliable hand, Festoni is intended primarily for upholstery and will look quite splendid on chairs, ottomans, settees and cushions.
